Medical Directorate: key directors appointed
The NHS Commissioning Board Authority has announced the appointment of two director posts in the Medical Directorate:
- Prof Steve Field (currently a GP in inner city Birmingham; Chair of the National Inclusion Health Board and Chair of the NHS Future Forum) has been appointed to the role of Deputy National Medical Director (Health Inequalities). Prof Field will be responsible for providing leadership to reduce health inequalities in line with the NHS Constitution.
- Prof Keith Willett (currently National Clinical Director for Trauma Care), has been appointed to the role of Director for Acute Episodes of Care (Domain 3). Prof Willett will lead work that helps the NHS to support people to recover as quickly as possible from episodes of ill health or injury.
Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, National Medical Director at the NHS Commissioning Board Authority, said:
“I am delighted that we have been able to secure these two high-calibre appointments. Both have a strong track record of leadership and innovation which will be of enormous benefit to the NHS in England.”

WHEN IS THE NHS GOING TO PASS ON THE HEALTH WARNINGS THAT come with fluoride poison medical products?
When is the nhs going to pass on the manufacturers health warnings to patients and the public regarding the silver amalgam 50% mercury poison tooth filings that is known to leak poison and poison mercury vapors?
This would enable the public to make a fully informed choice?
If they had the health warning information they would also be able to watch out for the adverse risks and allergic symptoms?
This applies to fluoride toothpaste as well the public need to know fluoride poison causes fluorosis immediately?
