Webinar sessions: Developing the culture of compassionate care

Learn about how you can influence how nursing, midwifery and care-giving contributes to developing the culture of compassionate care and meeting health needs for the coming years.

The NHS Commissioning Board has run a series of interactive online webinars to discuss the new vision and strategy for Nurses, Midwives and Care-Givers, and its six key areas of focus, the 6Cs.

The webinars were hosted by nursing leaders and involved debate and discussion around the vision and strategy. You can watch all recordings of the sessions below, plus download the slide sets and chat conversations.

Thank You for the opportunity to commnet. I found this a very clear and excellent vision. It appears to clarify and concentrate the attention on what we, as professional nusres should be striving to deliver all the time. The three C’s model apperars to offer a clear vision and concentrates the attention of the pratitioner on the areas which should always remain a prioity in our interactions with the public.
I was particularly inspired to note the inclusion of Courage and Commitment. I have been a practicing nurse for twenty years and I am currrently in my second year of a SCPHN degree course. I believe that having the courage to challenge traditional practice and being commitmed to improving services and client experiece have been one of the most demanding tasks that I have faced. Yet, using an evidence base for practice and having the support of a managment structure that has permitted an opportunity to trial alternative practice it has proved to be a great opportunity to develop our School Nursing Service in line with recommendations of the Vision and Model for School Nursing (2012).
