Template service level agreement (SLA) for CCGs published

The NHS Commissioning Board (NHS CB) has published a template service level agreement (SLA), along with guidance on how to complete SLAs for use by CCGs procuring commissioning support services.

The NHS CB has asked CCGs and CSUs to agree and sign the SLAs by the end of November. This will enable both CCGs and CSUs to finalise their staffing structures and recruit in line with the national HR transition process.

For a update on wider commissioning support developments, please see our monthly commissioning support bulletin.

Hi there, please could you clarify who is responsible for commissioning of interpretation services NCB or CCG?

Current interpretation contracts will they be a responsibility of NCB or CCG?

      Hi Geeta
Thank you for your comment. The NHS Commissioning Board will take on its full responsibility, and the proposed Clinical Commissioning Groups will take on their commissioning responsibilities from the 1st April 2013. Discussions are currently on-going regarding the commissioning of interpretation services.

      Kind regards
      Simon
