In July, there were 581,428 calls to the NHS 111 service, with 93.9% of these calls from people directly dialling 111. Scaled up, this would represent 9.1 million calls per year across England to the NHS 111 service.

In July, 96.1% of answered calls made to NHS 111 were answered within 60 seconds. Of all calls offered 1.1% were abandoned after waiting longer than 30 seconds.

The average length of a call episode for July was 14 minutes 54 seconds, with 84.9%  of callers receiving a triage and 10.3%  of answered calls called back.

On average 28.1% of call time was handled by clinical staff for all calls in July.  Nine sites are currently able to submit this data, due to the data being classed as commercially sensitive by some providers.
