New patient activation report launched
A major new report about Patient Activation – which could help over 1.5million people in England with long term conditions – was launched at the King’s Fund today.
Patient activation is a measure of a person’s skills, confidence and knowledge to manage their own health. It’s simple to find out, like measuring blood pressure, and is scored from one to four.
Professor Judy Hibbard, who developed the measure of patient activation, launched the report with the King’s Fund which is aimed at helping 10 per cent or 1.5 million people in England with long term conditions who are the lowest category of activation.
