We have issued a patient safety alert asking hospitals with transplant units to review the storage of organ perfusion fluids to reduce the chance of confusion with fluids intended for administration to patients. Other hospitals, please remove all solid organ perfusion fluids from clinical areas.

Update for trusts using TPP SystmOne
TPP is removing the consent override function from all its systems on 23 April to address concerns raised by GPs and the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Please notify your Caldicott Guardians and heads of information governance of this change, and ask them to contact your TPP Account Manager if they have any questions.
Advance care planning for people with dementia
To support the Dementia Challenge 2020, NHS England has developed ‘My future wishes: advance care planning (ACP) for people with dementia in all care settings’. It helps practitioners, providers and health and social care commissioners to create opportunities for people living with dementia to develop an ACP.
