Learning disability improvement standards for NHS trusts benchmarking exercise

Over 90% of acute, mental health and learning disability trusts took part in the benchmarking exercise we commissioned last year from the NHS Benchmarking Network. You can read an overview of the themes and learning emerging from this baseline information on providers’ compliance with the standards. Each participating trust has received an individual benchmarking report, and we will repeat our surveys annually to chart progress and identify where improvement efforts need to focus.

A fair experience for all: closing the gap in rates of disciplinary action between BME and white staff

One of the key aims of the interim NHS People Plan is to make the NHS the best place to work for all its workforce. Following this, we published ‘A fair experience for all’ strategy — outlining clear goals for all NHS organisations to close the gap in the disproportionate rates of disciplinary action between BME and white staff across the healthcare system by 2022.

Delivering personalised care for veterans

Together with the Ministry of Defence, we have published ‘Personalised care for veterans in England’ — setting out a new personalised care approach for veterans with long-term physical, mental or neurological health conditions or disabilities.

This guide will help individuals and organisations who are leading or involved in supporting veterans through the delivery of NHS continuing healthcare, or a jointly agreed care plan.
