For action
We have agreed to align EU Exit and winter reporting activities to avoid duplication, reduce burden on trusts and ensure a single national narrative. Alignment of SitReps will occur through ‘live’ daily dialogue between EU Exit and Urgent Emergency Care (UEC) teams to ensure intelligence is joined up regionally and nationally. We recognise this reporting takes extraordinary planning and commitment, and we appreciate your ongoing support.
The EU Exit SitRep went live on Monday 21 October and will be submitted between 2pm and 3pm Monday to Friday until further notice. Please direct any questions to your regional EU Exit teams.
Daily winter UEC SitRep seven-day reporting is dependent on EU Exit negotiations.
- If the UK leaves the EU without a deal on Thursday 31 October, we will commence seven-day reporting on Saturday 2 November.
- If the UK leaves the EU with a deal on Thursday 31 October, or if there is an extension, seven-day reporting will commence on Monday 2 December.
For information
Lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) patients can face serious health inequalities. Sexual orientation monitoring (the collection of data on patient sexuality with patient consent) helps us understand the health challenges and experiences of LGB people so we can develop plans to improve care.
We want to understand how the different parts of the NHS are collecting this data to help us collect the data more sensibly and sensitively in future. You can respond as an organisation or individually and can anonymise your response.
