Now NHS England and NHS Improvement have come together as a single organisation, we are running a discovery process before building our new website. The lessons we learn will be used to create a website that works better for all our users.

Criteria-led discharge (CLD) helps get patients home as soon as it’s safe and appropriate, improves patient experience, and increases capacity for weekend discharges. Our new guide to CLD supports managers to implement, sustain and spread CLD, as well as providing context and evidence around the process.

We are working with St John Ambulance to develop 10,000 new NHS cadets within the next four years.
This £6 million programme will aim to provide young people aged 14+ with a range of life skills and volunteering opportunities. It will also introduce young people to the NHS with the intention of developing the future health and care workforce.
