@NHS from 11/04/18 to 11/04/18
Job Title: Member of the UK Youth Parliament for Kingston Upon Hull
Place of work: College student
I’ve been involved in youth volunteering for about 3 years, both as a Member of the UK Youth Parliament and as a member of the NHS Youth Forum since November 2017, representing the North of England. Volunteering, especially in healthcare, has helped me to see how care and services can be improved for all young people, both in the NHS and the voluntary sector. Mental health is one of the main areas I work on, with organisations such as HeadStartHull which is a project aimed at improving the emotional health and well-being of 10-16 year olds, funded by the Big Lottery. My hobbies outside of volunteering are current affairs, geopolitics, learning languages, and most importantly, Eurovision!
