Twitter Handle: @beingmo

Patient/Carer or NHS Staff:  NHS staff

Condition or job title: GP partner

Place of treatment/care or workplace:  Woodhouse medical practice, Leeds, LS6 2SF, part of Chapeltown primary care network

I started out wanting to be a surgeon I then switched to be a GP as I love talking to patients, my special interests are in palliative care, teaching and GP resilience. Our practice is in the Chapeltown locality of Leeds, we have pockets of deprivation and proactively act to help support our patients.  I currently serve as treasurer for RCGP Yorkshire faculty and feature on a weekly local radio, Fever FM 107.3, health show.  My most recent appointment is to the board of Feel Good Factor health and wellbeing charity.  My interest in palliative care was born out of my posts at many hospices including Wakefield Hospice and St Christopher’s hospice London.  I should pay tribute to my mentors including Drs Agnelo Fernandes and Peter Campbell who have instilled great vigour into the way I practise and participate in my local health community.

I would describe myself as an epicurean, coffee drinker, traveller and enjoy gym fitness.
