Hello! My name is Sam & I am a Physiotherapist who is very proud to be working for the NHS, in the Mental Health sector.
Following two knee operations in my early twenties, & going through months of Physiotherapy & Hydrotherapy, I decided to completely change my career & retrain as a Physiotherapist. I wanted to help others in the same way that Physiotherapy brought so many positive facets into my lifestyle.
Whilst studying at Coventry University, I went on many clinical placements, including one with Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. These placements really fuelled my passion for Physiotherapy within Mental Health. My job is incredibly varied, with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline & I have a growing interest in conducting & participating in research in order to improve the care provided to service users.
Outside of work, my time is split between Birmingham & Shropshire with loved ones. I enjoy being active & can often be found doing yoga or going training with friends; going to various fitness classes & weight training – lifting weights & yoga is my form of stress relief!
