Hello. my name is Graham. I’m a pharmacist working in General Practice, Nursing Homes and Primary Care Networks. It is my job to try to help people to get the best from their medicines (medicines optimisation), this sometimes means stopping them (deprescribing) and other times starting new ones (prescribing). The most rewarding part of the my role is seeing people face to face, finding out what matters to them and how we, together, can improve their quality of life. As many of my patients are frail, have multiple long term conditions or are approaching the end of their lives, the complex medication they take needs careful, tailored consideration.
I’m honoured to be a Clinical Director of Brentworth PCN, a Primary Care Network in Hounslow, London, these new local networks, formed by groups of GP Surgeries across England are aiming to improve the health of everyone who lives within them by seeking to work together with healthcare providers, the voluntary sector, social care and patient groups. I’m the Chief Pharmacist at Argyle Health Group, we provide General Practice, Nursing Home, Pharmacy and Phlebotomy services in West London. I’m also the President of the PCPA, an association of thousands of pharmacy professionals working in primary care.
I’m dad to three lively young children and live with my wife, who is also a pharmacist, in West London. I enjoy cycling, the great outdoors and travel.
