The 2015-16 NHS Innovation Challenge Prizes were awarded on 28 January 2016 at Anglia Ruskin University.
Three key projects were awarded main Challenge Prizes in the categories of Cancer, Rehabilitation and Best Practice Adoption. A further 11 projects were awarded “acorn” prizes to support the development and rollout of smaller-scale ideas.
- Ambulatory lung biopsy at Barnet Hospital, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust: Awarded Cancer Challenge Prize of £100,000 plus support from MSD
- Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Programme: Awarded Rehabilitation Challenge Prize of £50,000 funding plus a dedicated mentoring package from AHPF
- Virtual Fracture Clinic at Brighton and Sussex University NHS Foundation Trust: Awarded Best Practice Adoption Challenge Prize of an intensive, high-level package of support from 3.
