Data
This section provides information and links to real time data that is available to support your improvement activities. The data can be accessed openly, is currently active, published regularly and available to view by integrated care board (ICB) and/or trust level.
Activity data is different to measuring for improvement but can give an indication of where you may want to focus improvement resource. For detailed exploration the interactive Model Health System tool enables comparisons of the below as well as data related to productivity, quality and responsiveness.
The Model Health System

Improvement analytics
To support your local improvement journey, alongside the improvement guides there are three new analytics compartments in the Model Health System focused on UEC flow, theatre services and outpatient services.
Once registered for the Model Health System, you can access the compartments directly here:
- theatres, surgery and perioperative care quality improvement analytics
- outpatient services quality improvement analytics
- urgent and emergency care (UEC) flow quality improvement analytics
The indicators cover a range of process, outcome and quality metrics which trusts and systems can use to track progress against implementation of the ‘change ideas’ set out in the guides.
