Chief pharmacy and medicines information officer (CPMIO) national webinars for digital pharmacy leaders
The webinars provide a briefing on key national developments, facilitate knowledge sharing and strengthen networks for collaboration on all areas that are focused on the use of digital, data and technology to improve the use of medicines. These will include areas such as electronic prescription service (EPS), NHS App, electronic patient record (EPR)/electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA), optimisation, medicines data, use of artificial intelligence (AI) AI and digital pharmacy roles. The webinar is for CPMIOs and digital pharmacy leads and is held online bi-monthly.
e-Prescribing masterclass
The e-prescribing masterclass is a platform that provides a collaborative multi-professional forum for clinicians, digital leads, researchers and safety specialists to share experiences and learning from optimising electronic healthcare systems. The sessions are designed to support digital transformation within NHS organisations and enhance patient safety through evidence-based insights. These can include quality improvement projects, research findings and best practice examples in the use of clinical decision support. The webinars are held online on the third Wednesday of the month from 1pm to 2pm.
Webinar recordings are available on the Futures collaboration platform.
Digital medicines community of practice
The group is open to anyone supporting patient care. Usual participants include pharmacists, prescribers, clinical safety officers, technical leads, developers and others involved in developing medicines interoperability.
Participants come from across NHS providers, system suppliers and other organisations supporting healthcare needs.
The digital medicines community of practice supports the design, development, implementation and improvement of solutions, services and capabilities that enable the seamless exchange of fully-structured medicines information across the NHS. The group meets once a month on Mondays, with additional sessions scheduled as required.
By fostering collaboration and innovation, we support safer, more efficient and interoperable digital medicines systems.
