Royal College of Midwives annual conference

Chief Midwifery Officer, Jacquie Dunkley-Bent, will be speaking on 24 September. It will be her first speech in her new job and it will likely cover her priorities such as making sure that marginalised benefit from improved maternity services, reducing BAME inequality in maternity outcomes and transforming the definition of the role of the midwife with a view to attracting more young people to pursue a career in midwifery.

The exhibition stand will be asking delegates questions on their experiences of policies where they are working and/or training and capturing their views on what would improve things for them and the women and babies they care for.

More details about the conference can be found on the event website.
