The Digital Health Zone explored the transformative nature of digital technology. This year the focus was on a digital journey, from the groundbreaking digital and mobile health capabilities being used today in the health and
care system, to emerging programmes of work, then moving on to conceptual products of the future. Local digital initiatives were demonstrated in micro demo pods, allowing close up interaction and conversation.
The zone featured an open-mic spot in the coffee bar, providing an opportunity for those passionate about a topic to deliver targeted 300 second inspirational talks. Our speaker’s circle hosted some of the top names in digital health and care.
For those who wanted information fast, the Cinema Showcase aired a series of short films and animations showing innovations developed across the health and care system. This year the Digital Health Zone also supported delegates to make a Digital Change Pledge. The Expo 2016 Digital Health Zone was be an immersive, interactive experience for all who visited.
Secretary of State for Health Jeremy Hunt MP and newly-appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health Nicola Blackwood MP both visited the zone.
