In developing and embedding innovation, the NHS is working in more and more international partnerships that benefit patients and their families in England and in other countries.
Healthcare UK wass a key partner to Expo 2016, with a series of high-level presentations, talks and activities in its large exhibition space. Healthcare UK were joined by government delegations from China, Hong Kong and Denmark, working with senior staff from NHS England to help them understand progress in delivering the NHS Five Year Forward View and the increasing international trade and investment supporting innovative new ways of working.
Finland has reinvented itself in just one century. Despite its tiny population of 5.5 million people, the country is arguably one of the global hotspots in the game industry. However, games are far from being the whole picture. Finland is engaged in becoming the digital hub of Northern Europe based on its know-how in digital healthcare, next-generation wireless networks and the industrial internet, as well as the internet of bins. Team Finland showcased a range Finnish healthcare companies and services on their stand.
The UK Israel Tech Hub was established as a UK government initiative to help drive economic growth in the UK via partnership with Israel. The Hub has earned a strong reputation as one of Israel’s finest “resident experts” in a complex and unique innovation ecosystem. The Hub showcased a number of SMEs at Expo 2016.
