Parent Council PPV vacancies

Are you a parent of carer of a young person who has experienced inpatient mental health, learning disability and autism services?

The Parent Council of NHS England’s Quality Improvement Taskforce for is recruiting new members.

The Taskforce was set up in 2019 to make rapid improvements to services for children and young people receiving mental health, learning disability and autism inpatient care. Now entering its final year, the Parent Council of the Taskforce is looking for new voices to join and support this important work.

The Parent Council is made up of parents and carers who have direct experience of children and young people they care for using these services. This is crucial in making sure the work of the Taskforce is informed by people who have this first-hand experience. The Council meets regularly to help develop and test the work of the Taskforce and advise on how it works in partnership with the people who use these services.

This is a level 4 PPV role meaning Parent Council members can claim an involvement fee for the role. Meetings take place during working hours. Involvement includes meeting formally once a month and becoming involved in other project work of interest. Involvement will be up to three full days a month.
