NHS Improving Quality worked in partnership with NHS England and a number of other organisations to take forward the seven day services agenda. The seven day services improvement programme aimed to help spread change at scale and pace and support the transformation of services that is needed to deliver seven day services. A core part of the work involved sharing learning and knowledge across the NHS and identifying barriers and innovations to help shape future policy.


Following on from in depth interviews with providers and commissioners, this report presents themes relating to the delivery of services across seven days, and the enablers and drivers for its success.
