Breast EAG

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. About 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. There is a good chance of recovery if it is detected in its early stages.

The overall aim of the Breast EAG is to provide specialist advice and guidance to the Cancer Alliance Board on the standards of service for patients with breast cancer reflecting current best practice and opportunities for development.

The Breast EAG will aim to ensure that patients with breast cancer receive high quality equitable cancer care throughout the West Midlands regardless of geography or socio-economic factors and will, wherever possible, endeavour to improve the standard of care provided.
