The National Cancer Plan was published in February 2026. The Plan was developed through extensive engagement with patients, partners and professionals, setting out the priorities and commitments needed to make England a world-leader for cancer survival and build an NHS fit for the future.
Its central ambition is that by 2035, more people will survive cancer or live well with cancer, delivering the fastest improvement in cancer survival this century.
