Our Patient and Public Participation work ensures that patients and the public are at the heart of everything we do. Our approach to patient and public participation is constantly evolving. We aim to continuously learn from and share our experience of participation to maximise its impact. We have a specific commitment to delivering the Empowering Patients and Communities vision of the Five Year Forward View.
We use an Engagement Bank called Your NHS, Your Voice. Our intention is to build on current relationships with local people and organisations that have experience of Patient and Public Participation and whom we can call on to inform our work plans via their links and connections.
We have developed the following “PATIENT” mnemonic as an aide-memoire for use in planning participation and engagement activities.
