The Northern England Clinical Networks has coordinated a range of activities to support the development of Liaison Mental Health services across Northern England.
In 2016 a comprehensive mapping exercise was carried out to enhance local understanding of the current provision of liaison services and information packs were produced to help local areas develop bids for transformation funding. If you would like to see the local information packs please contact a member of the network team on firstname.lastname@example.org.
This exercise showed that, whilst there is variation across the network, we have some excellent liaison services in Northern England.
The Liaison Practitioners Forum is aimed at front line liaison staff; those working the 24/7 rotas such as nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and physiotherapists. The purpose of the group is to provide a forum for liaison mental health practitioners to meet as a peer group to discuss developments in liaison services across Northern England. The group provides an opportunity to share good practice between teams, discuss challenges and identify opportunities to work together to improve liaison mental health services.
