Planned transformation of PCS England

Over the next two years, primary care support services will change significantly. Capita proposes to build on and accelerate the pace of change that NHS England has already delivered by:

  • Moving the delivery of all services to three centres across England: Preston, Leeds and Clacton-on-Sea
  • Opening a new national support centre for all customer queries
  • Introducing a new online portal, providing easy access to many PCSE services, such as supplies ordering, Market Entry and Performer List applications and payments
  • Introducing a national, secure approach to the movement and storage of medical records

Most practices currently receive primary care support from a number of different PCS England offices. By 2017, the Customer Support Centre will be the single point of contact for all queries.
