Over the next two years, primary care support services will change significantly. Capita proposes to build on and accelerate the pace of change that NHS England has already delivered by:
- Moving the delivery of all services to three centres across England: Preston, Leeds and Clacton-on-Sea
- Opening a new national support centre for all customer queries
- Introducing a new online portal, providing easy access to many PCSE services, such as supplies ordering, Market Entry and Performer List applications and payments
- Introducing a national, secure approach to the movement and storage of medical records
Most practices currently receive primary care support from a number of different PCS England offices. By 2017, the Customer Support Centre will be the single point of contact for all queries.
