The NHS Payment Scheme governs transactions between providers and commissioners of secondary healthcare.

The materials published here comprise the 2026/27 NHS Payment Scheme (NHSPS).

Please note: The initially published 2026/27 NHSPS used a cost uplift factor that did not reflect final pay arrangements or the resident doctors’ deal. In August 2026 an updated NHSPS was published, reflecting an increase in cost uplift factor from 2.03% to 3.24%. A revised Annex A with updated prices is published below. The updated prices and cost uplift factor should be backdated to 1 April 2026.
