The 2024 Autumn Spending Review provided the NHS with a one-year capital settlement for 2025/26, with allocations covering multiple funding streams to support integrated capital and revenue planning.

This guidance sets out the basis of the capital framework, allocations and planning for 2025/26.

Beyond 2025/26, no capital settlement has been confirmed. A multi-year settlement is expected following the 2025 Spending Review (Phase 2), concluding in June 2025. After this we will update the capital guidance to cover the multi-year period.

In March 2022 NHS England published the NHS capital guidance 2022 to 2025. This guidance sets out the basis of the capital framework and allocations for the period 2022/23 to 2024/25.
