On 1 April 2019 City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust and South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust merged to create South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.
Under the Single Oversight Framework (SOF), which is designed to help NHS providers attain and maintain Care Quality Commission ratings of ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’, we segment providers based on the level of support each provider needs.
