Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is when a person has high blood sugars (glucose) during pregnancy. It resolves after giving birth but can place the person at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes in future.

This leaflet explains how the Healthier You NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme can reduce a person’s risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
