These minimum standards set out what patients and carers should expect when patients are referred for planned (non-urgent) NHS care in England.

These standards have been developed with patients, unpaid carers and patient representatives, alongside clinicians and NHS teams. They act on feedback we have heard and, for the first time, set a benchmark for knowing what is happening and who to turn to.
