This framework will help responsible officers and organisations to provide assurance that their professional standards processes meet the relevant statutory requirements and support quality improvement.

It includes three annexes which are illustrative templates showing the information and measures that organisations should produce and review.

It is a development of the original Framework for quality assurance for responsible officers and revalidation. This is still valid as a resource, for example, for organisations recently identified as a designated body.
