On 1 July 2026 North Bristol NHS Trust was acquired by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. At this time University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust’s name was changed to Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.
This trust acquired Weston Area Health NHS Trust on 1 April 2020. Prior to this acquisition, the trust was known as University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.
