SAFE (Situation Awareness for Everyone) project funded by the Health Foundation, Closing the Gap programme, led by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Newborn Early Warning Trigger and Track (NEWTT), The British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) recently launched the Newborn Early Warning Trigger & Track (NEWTT) Framework for Practice. This is a Newborn Early Warning System for use within newborn and maternity services across the United Kingdom and is designed to be used by healthcare professionals working in areas caring for newborns in the early and ongoing postnatal period. Whilst BAPM expect this to be predominantly midwives, it may also include maternity care assistants, nursery nurses and, in some instances, neonatal nurses.
