Mental health services data and payments survey

Monitor and NHS England are committed to the national ambition for mental health services to achieve parity of esteem with physical health services by 2020, as set out in No Health Without Mental Health and the Five Year Forward View.

If we are to achieve parity of esteem and reduce health inequalities, we need to make progress in developing the payment system. This requires improvements in  collecting, reporting  and using data. This will also help to promote better understanding of patients’ needs and commissioning the services that will support them.

By taking part in this survey, commissioners and providers of mental health services will assist us in understanding what progress has been made and also help us identify and develop the support needed to achieve these ambitions.

The survey can be accessed at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/outcomes-based-payment-for-mental-healthcare-an-introduction?#take-part-in-our-mental-health-services-survey

The deadline for responses is midday, Friday 2 October 2015.
