Assessment centre and development process

The assessment centre is an aid to the recruitment and selection processes which individual CCGs will run. It is intended to give the NHS Commissioning Board and CCGs assurance that individuals have the skills and competence to take on the roles of Chair of Governing Body, Accountable Officer and Chief Finance Officer, following a robust selection process.

For individuals aspiring to these roles, the assessment centre and development process enables them to create their development plan and access, if they wish, bespoke development. This document from the NHS Leadership Academy contains more information about what is available.
