At this year’s NHS Health and Care Innovation Expo, 5-6 September 2018, three programmes from across NHS England and NHS Improvement will combine to form the Improving Care Zone. NHS RightCare, Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) and the Elective Care Transformation Programme will form this zone and focus on the programmes’ aims, approaches, collaborative working across primary and secondary care, and the outcomes.
Across the two days, the Improving Care Zone will feature practical sessions in the zone’s “Presentation Pod” from NHS RightCare, GIRFT and NHS Elective Care Transformation programme about existing and future work, cross-programme working with medicines value and other NHS programmes and best practice from those already benefiting from the approaches and their results.
In March 2018, NHS England and NHS Improvement outlined future plans to strengthen joint work between the two organisations.
NHS RightCare, GIRFT, and the Elective Care Transformation Programme aim to provide full system patient care to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and securing the most efficient use of resources to create a sustainable NHS. Each programme is clinically-led, and together they help identify opportunities to reduce unwarranted variation, aiming to remove barriers to care, across all local health and social care economies in England and ensure that people see the right person in the right place, first time.
Main stage and Pop Up Uni sessions are to be announced, however, to get involved and join the conversation around NHS Health and Care Innovation Expo follow us on Twitter, sign up to our bulletin or register to attend; NHS, local government and other public sector staff can claim limited free tickets – to check if you are eligible, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
