The introduction of a robust and valid maternity dashboard will allow maternity units within South East to obtain a clear view of the quality and safety of their own service. In addition, a regional view will highlight areas of variation in practice and provide valuable benchmarking to facilitate improvement. The dashboard applies national and regionally agreed standards and definitions.

The maternity dashboard is aligned to the South East Clinical Network maternity work programme which aims to promote high quality maternity care and experience in line with the National Maternity Transformation Programme.2
