Diabetes Clinical Network Foot Care Subgroup

The group provides the following support:

• 3 Meetings a year to provide support and shared practice.
• An annual diabetes foot care survey to identify gaps in the MDFT services across Kent, Surrey and Sussex against NICE guidelines (CG19)
• Sharing of best practice to develop agreed guidelines and protocols which have been identified from the survey.
• Explore the feasibility of RCA (Root, Cause, Analysis for major amputations)
• Ongoing support to ensure that foot care is considered in vascular reconfiguration programmes
• Facilitate discussions on provision of structured foot health education programmes
• Support participation in the National Foot Care Audit
