Acute provider table
This new data tool will provide a summary of provider performance across key indicators and is part of our commitment to becoming a far more transparent system.
It draws on data published as part of the NHS monthly operational statistics and will be updated regularly in line with their publication.
The acute provider table displays 7 health statistics in a simple and accessible way for English NHS providers that deliver acute services.
The table includes statistics from 4 acute service areas:
- accident and emergency (A&E) waiting times
- elective referral to treatment waiting times
- cancer diagnosis and treatment waiting times
- diagnostic waiting times
Below is monthly data from the latest published statistics, and the update timeseries data. Data for previous months is further down the page.

From May 2026 publication
Data for April 2026 accident and emergency (A&E) waiting times. Data for March 2026 elective referral to treatment waiting times, cancer diagnosis and treatment waiting times, and diagnostic waiting times.
From April 2026, data for the A&E 4-hour performance metric, including the time series data, is based on the acute trust footprint.
In previous months, 4hr performance data was based on provider level data.
Data correction:
May 2026 data file and Timeseries file were updated to correct the April data for 4hr A&E performance.
The correction was made to the acute provider footprint data for 2 providers: RVV and RPA.
No other trusts or metrics were affected.
