Vaccinations: Influenza

This publication contains information on the number of people who have had a flu vaccination since 1 August 2023, by NHS region of residence and by age-based cohorts. The data in this release includes all individuals with a flu vaccination administered in England, even if individuals are resident outside of England, do not have an NHS number or are no longer alive.

Data is collected via the Data Processing Service (DPS), which aggregates data from GP IT and other Point of Care (PoC) systems. Therefore the accuracy of the data relies primarily on the reliability of these data sources.

The flu publication was released on a weekly basis from 28 September 2023 to 8 February 2024. It then moved to a monthly frequency, from 7 March 2024 with the last publication for the Autumn 2023 campaign released on 4 April 2024. Weekly publications are released on Thursday each week at 2pm. Monthly publications are released on the first Thursday of the month and include data up to the end of the previous month.
