A small number of GP Practices across London have contracts which are about to expire in 2016. A tendering process is underway to find organisations to run them for the next 5 to 10 years. Engagement with patients and other local stakeholders is an important part of this tendering process. NHS England wrote to all adult registered patients of the affected practices, along with other interested parties such as local councillors, to explain what was happening and to invite them to have their say. Events were held at the surgeries and patients were asked to complete a survey, either online or on paper, to give their views on their GP services.
