Response to the Mayor’s King’s Fund STP Report

A spokesperson for NHS England (London) said:
“NHS reforms are clearly working in London, because despite continued population growth, emergency hospital admissions last year rose by only 0.4% – much less than across the rest of the country. There is wide agreement about the need for expanded prevention and out-of-hospital care, but new safeguards are also now in force which mean before any alternative service plans are confirmed, hospitals have to demonstrate they have enough beds to provide safe, modern and efficient care.”
