A wide range of sites to get your Covid-19 jab

A range of innovative approaches to delivering the vaccine is taking place across London – from mobile vaccination clinics, shopping centres and supermarkets to colleges, places of worship, community centres and sports stadiums.

NHS staff on board a vaccination bus visiting Stockwell, Vauxhall, Streatham and Brixton are not only giving covid jabs, but also providing general health checks and advice. Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth is just one of several shopping centres across the capital where people can get the jab. Harlequins Rugby Union stadium in Richmond and Leyton Cricket Club are among sports clubs using their facilities to provide the life-saving vaccine to as many people as possible.

Supermarkets, such as Tesco in Leyton, are also doing their bit for the biggest, fastest vaccination programme in history. Churches and community groups across the capital are playing a vital role too, such as UKIM Masjid and Islamic Centre in north east London.

GP and senior adviser to the London vaccination programme Tehseen Khan said:

“We’re seeing some fantastic examples of interesting and unusual vaccination sites as the capital – and indeed the whole country – pulls together to give the covid vaccine to as many eligible people as possible. The wide range of sites highlights just how easy it is for all those eligible to get the jab.”
