NHS marks 78th Birthday with invitation to join its workforce

As the NHS celebrates its 78th Birthday this Sunday (5 July), staff and volunteers past and present are being thanked for helping to make this extraordinary organisation what it is.

Dr McLure said: “This is a great opportunity to celebrate some of the best work happening in the NHS. Every day, NHS colleagues are delivering outstanding care in new and innovative ways.

The NHS 78th Birthday is also an opportunity to highlight more than 350 different careers available across the NHS in England for people from all backgrounds, skills and interests.
