NHS North East and Yorkshire supports healthcare commissioning, assurance and offer support to providers and local health systems to help them improve across our region. We are responsible for;

• commissioning of primary care services including GPs, dentists, opticians and pharmacists
• commissioning of screening and immunisations programmes, specialised services and health services for those in the armed forces
• commissioning of health services for children, young people and adults in secure and detained services across the North East and Yorkshire
• Assurance, delivery and leadership support to local NHS organisations, as well as independent providers that provide NHS-funded care
