Do you know a special nurse who works in a GP practice?

Patients are being asked to vote for their favourite practice nurse across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw, Humber, Coast and Vale, West Yorkshire and Harrogate as part of an awards event organised by NHS England.

The awards are for nurses working within GP practices and aim to recognise the skills, expertise and dedication of practice nurses across the area.
Nominations are now being sought and an awards ceremony will take place in late February in Rotherham, Hull and Leeds.

Members of the public are able to nominate in the people’s choice award category.

Deputy Director of Nursing for Yorkshire and the Humber, Wendy Barker, said: “These awards recognise and reward the vital contribution practice nurses provide in primary care.
“Nominations are sought for practice nurses and health care workers who consistently deliver confident, contemporary care and who also consistently perform above what is considered as the ‘norm’ for their peer group.”
