The South West Radiotherapy Operational Delivery Network (ODN) consists of eight NHS Trusts that provide radiotherapy treatment in the South West region. Geographically it is the largest ODN in England and overlaps two Cancer Alliances: the Peninsular and the Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire Alliance.

Established in 2020, the Network is designed to modernise and transform the provision of radiotherapy services which, in turn, will allow more service users to benefit from innovative technology, improved treatment outcomes and enhanced patient experience.

The South West Radiotherapy ODN is working across a number of priorities, which include:

• Upgrading radiotherapy equipment to enable NHS Trusts to offer new treatment techniques
• Embedding best operational and clinical practice
• Consolidating  partnership working across constituent radiotherapy service providers to share and strengthen clinical knowledge & expertise within the region
