Accelerated Access Collaborative (AAC) funds innovations that support early diagnosis and rehabilitation of stroke patients
The AAC – through the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) Healthcare – has awarded £2.5 million for the development of five ‘Phase 3’ innovations that support stroke patients.
Phase 3 competitions aim to facilitate the collection of evidence in real-world settings to accelerate the adoption and spread of late-stage innovations into healthcare settings.
The selected innovations include a point-of-care blood-test for pre-hospital identification of stroke patients for use in ambulances, and an XR rehabilitation solution with engaging therapy and remote monitoring.
These innovations were chosen because they have the biggest potential to deliver the transformative care needed for patients and clinical staff, to deliver an NHS that is fit for the future.
