NHS England has published an independent investigation report into the care and treatment of a Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust patient who killed another man in Poole in August 2016.

Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Safeguarding Adults Board (BCPSAB) commissioned a supplementary report into the multi-agency public protection arrangements related to Mr P’s care and treatment. This report, published in March 2021, is available on the BCPSAB website here.

Following the report on Mr P, an independent quality-assurance review on implementation of its recommendations has been published.

A follow-up review into the care and treatment of Ms A: March 2016

This is a follow up review to provide assurance that the recommendations from the mental health homicide independent investigation into the care and treatment of Ms A have been implemented, or are in the process of being implemented. At the time of the homicide (2010) Ms A was a mental health service user at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England has published the independent investigation report into the care and treatment of a Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust patient who was the victim of a homicide committed by two other patients in July 2012.
